Aaron, Hur n Si fu !

What defines a fine dinner? Is it the food, the ambience or the company? What if all the three factors were present- does that constitute a "perfect dinner"?

Was so privileged to be invited for a home cooked dinner and ate in the midst of my 'Aaron, Hur and Si fu !!!'... looking at each individually, I am so thankful to God for sending them along my path to mould, strengthen and mentor me these years... to be counted as a friend and sister to them is indeed an 'honour and privilege for me'
.....

God is really good to me and in the process of my walk, especially when I am going through the 'trying and stretching path', He sends me Aaron and Hur to hold me up and walk through with me ; picking me up , brushing and polishing me , lending me their shoulders to lean on and even to cry on ... the support , care and love poured unto me is truly from God and I am grateful for their unceasing encouragements, advice and their helping hands... especially thankful for their acceptance and patience when I was 'hard of hearing' or 'unlawfully knocking down walls', also 'suffering my wrath" and pulling me back.... for adding flavours and colours into me....

The saying goes that ....the land is first to be plowed , the ground tendered and prepared before seeds can be scattered to grow and bear fruit...It requires a very patient and conscientious gardener to water, prune and grow the plant... never giving up but continuing to pour in and to anticipate with great expectations to see the fruit...
Again through His grace and mercy, He sent me 'si-fus' who have so selflessly poured out and imparted- teaching me so much, showing me so much, giving me OJT n DIY sessions, grooming me, trimming me in various aspects- praying for me, nudging me, cheering me on....indeed how blessed am I for these wonderful and God sent 'si-fus' who have invested much in growing and building me up! The many priceless tips and cues, the many books n materials, the many many training and development sessions given me..... how else can I say this ...hmm ! They have truly added spice and aroma into my life....

Be Fruitful. Multiply. Subdue and Fill the Earth.

The Mission Convention (16th-18th Jan) speaker, Rev Dikran from Jordan is really good - he highlighted that God has a purpose in everything that He does and this purpose will be established despite circumstances, whether it is 'embraced' or through 'reluctance'... He said that we are created in His image for the purpose to ' be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth' but men so enjoyed His presence that we erected the tower of Babel ('bab'- also means 'door to' and 'el' means God) to be in God's presence -like most pentecostals- the oohs and aahs about the feeling in God's presence etc etc {and the speaker likens us to a 'kebab' turning and turning in the roasting fire and feeling good but slowly eating into itself...}so the people refused to be scattered (as opposed to God's will in order to "fill the earth) and built babel instead, but God intercepted, confused their tongues and dispersed them...
He also gave an example that when a couple married and after some months, the rest of the relatives will be anxious and will ask 'when is it coming? meaning when will a baby be born ' because through that intimacy, a fruit is to be produced- so if we have these experiences and intimacy with the Lord, then where is the fruit that we bear??... meaning no excuse not to live a fruitful life- bearing and showing the expected fruit... the check point then is , if you say you are intimate with God yet there's no evidence of any fruit, then he will doubt your true intimacy with God....
( I think this will silence many who 'propagate about just soaking in His presence yet opposing those who are doing... we are each to take a personal acid test on this area of obedience )

He highlighted another fact that after the flood, Noah and his ki ( the only ones who survived the flood which had wiped out the entire face of the earth) were again commanded to 'be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth' ... there is such a significance when he emphasised this point and let our ears be opened to hear what God has intended for us is to fulfill His purpose for us- the essence of our lving..!!

Into the NT, the believers were commanded to 'go into Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and unto the utmost parts of the earth... but they got complacent and just stayed in their comfort zones. The result was that persecution came and they were dispersed, and the gospel spread nevertheless... so he said if you don't do Acts 1:8 then Acts 8:1 will come upon you..

Precious Sisters !!

Farewell lunch... not sure how I should feel about it especially when I am the one who will be leaving, I guess...

This luncheon is however very significant and this group of precious sisters are from the days of my 'humble beginnings' in my walk and progress in GT.... there were new ones added in the team that has blessed me along the way but saying goodbye to those who have stood by me through my trials and hard times, who have cried and laughed with me, who have rebuked, admonished and built me up, who have cheered me on-(wow!) I guess no words can ever describe how blessed I am to be placed along side these strong powerful praying women of God , these strong Godly counsels , these women of faith and these precious vessels of God who radiate the presence of God and these intercessors who desire nothing less than the heartbeat of God in the presence of God.... All glory to God!! and how God is always waiting and bring us into His presence each Monday and I mean each time we meet on Mondays...how God uses each to mould and to sharpen yours truly.....

I've lost count of the number of years since I joined the Monday group but I will always remember the first few times I went ( was it after Y2K???? can't really recall the year)- not knowing 'anything, not hearing not seeing etc etc' and looking back, I am so happy to say I have grown so much and intend to grow more each day in HIM..alleluia!! There was this presence of God that has drawn me to go each week despite the traffic jams and all the what nots... the best group I have ever belonged to... my 'watering hole'- I received so much and am so grateful to God who has placed me there..

These are the people whom I have learnt so much from... there isn't much restraint or pretense because we will just enter into prayers and intercessions.... not even looking at each other...I will always remember those times when the Lord came and filled us up , refreshing us and strengthening and speaking His Word of Life through words of prophecies, the many visions He has enabled our eyes to behold, of His glory and His majesty... also those times where tears will just flow freely and hearts broken when we cried and interceded and prayed for many many things who have been heavy in our spirit and how we saw the LORD answering the prayers right before our eyes... oh!! those glorious moments when He revealed that He is always in control... the Lord of the Universe, my Lord and my Master...

There were just so many wonderful testimonies from and through each of our lives... how we have all grown and how the Lord led our team ... remarkable and awesome!!! Each of us, I would dare attest to, has certainly grown a step at a time, a level at a time and eventho' each were blessed with different gifts, and functioned differently, we are one in His Body and served with one purpose and that is a Wow Factor....!!

It surely wasn't a 'happy-go-lucky' journey at all ; quite the opposite. in fact it has been 'hard, trying and stretching' as we witnessed each other being 'moulded and pruned' by a very 'steady Gardener', as we 'struggled and shadow boxed...' but the 'outcome' after the 'polishing' displayed the 'radiance and the shine' of the Potter's handiwork and just when you think you are done, another session begins.... surprised??... well you should not be because we are all work in progress afterall- there are definite stages and levels in our lives where we are meant to be moulded and then elevated to... As I will always say ,"....the faster you die to self, the faster you will be resurrected- cease struggling and just surrender because the One that has started a good work in me, He will bring it into completion and His Purpose for me will be established... does it mean I have made it there already? of course not... it just means that I have got a step closer.

Still, WIP (Work in progress) ^^

The Merlion got smaller...

3 days and we were in and out of Singapore.

One of the places we stopped by to visit (The Merlion Park)

Seriously can't believe that we have left the country for almost 11 years ... for the girls it has been such a long time- barely can they remember living there for 6years more than a decade ago....

Gotta love the cool island breeze!

We went on a marathon walking spree and covered many areas and I must say that: "boy, was I tired!" and my bones need some resting despite having some pre warm up sessions at Bukit Kiara and also Bukit Gasing...

I find it so amusing to hear Nerissa commenting that the Merlion was so small.... well the logical explanation is that she has grown as the last time she took pictures with the Merlion must have been when she was 4 years old???

Small wonder that the Merlion 'got smaller' really...:o)

Us (and the Merlion that got smaller) in Singapore

This time round, many memories flooded my mind- good and sweet memories of the good old days- how we would go to Marina Square and then to meet up with SR at the then Suntec Project site, how I would push the pram and "comb" Orchard Road walking from Tangs to Robinsons and always sneaking into Takashimaya along the way (the 'in place' then)...

The fountain of wealth at Suntec City.
(SR was the project overseer of SC. i.e. his "baby")

Well, this time, I was quite impressed with the Esplanade, and also enjoyed walking endlessly underground (I mean walking the City Link, literally linking all the major areas like Raffles Place, Marina Square, Esplanade and Suntec City)- all in the comfort of an air conditioned environment and window shopping, and more window shopping all the way- guess there's where the term 'shop till you drop came about, until I have exclaimed to the girls that I can't make it any more....but my 'hard walk-out' was rewarded with those lovely hawker food that I missed so much, you know the totally Singaporean flavoured chao-guo-teow- the sweet one!!, the dry mee pok-with vinegar n cili sauce , rojak, pan mien and the newest in town apparently the beef ta-tou mien( big-knived mee) really yummy!!... and also the Burger King's turkey-bacon burger (have always wondered why we don't get the bacon burger in Malaysian outlet)...

Nerissa posing with her shopping at the underground CityLink

Well as for Vivo City and the Harbourfront - looking across and seeing Sentosa Island with the cable car also brought back many memories but we didn't attempt to go over , so we again did our walking round the Vivo City while waiting for the Aeroline back..

It was "bye bye" to Singapore

That concluded our journey... am glad that we were able to say "bye bye", to Singapore who has hosted us, during the wonderful 6 years we called her our home, a decade ago..

I Am Forever Grateful

2008 has come and gone...

Stepping into 2009 requires of me to look back and once again stand amazed at the faithfulness and steadfastness of God... seasons may come and go, a year may pass by, and time especially will fly by and wait for none.... but as I ponder and reflect , I see many, many blessings, many, many fruits that testify of the goodness and greatness of my Abba Father who has watched me and guided me every step of the way...I am forever grateful....

Last year has been so fulfilling despite the 'hard labour', despite the heart-breaks and even the tears that had been shed to water the hard ground ..it was worth it all... also despite the many jeers and misunderstandings, and amidst some resistance, and even ruffling of feathers, I really count it all joy and a definite great honour to be given the task to 'impact some lives', even tho some may consider it as 'unwanted interference' ... but from the bottom of my heart I am grateful to Him and I thank all who have 'tolerated and exercised patience and mercy on me... also here to take the opportunity to apologise and to ask everyone to forgive me of any errors of commission or omission... I may not have done everything right, or met the mark even, but I have tried my best.... it has been challenging, but His passion and fire I couldn't contain... it is really not what I can do but WHAT HE HAS DONE, not who I am but WHO HE IS... so my prayer is that there will be such a hunger and a thirst for Him, to grow deeper and to reach higher for Him

I am also so grateful to be a part of and to witness the greatness of God every time without fail in the HRM- His healing touch upon lives, the setting of the captives free, binding up and the healing of broken hearts and lives.... the smile and the change of every countenance after the Lord has ministered to them is the BEST and the MOSt fulfilling sight- because many came and many tasted the sweetness from the honey in the Rock and felt His tangible love- encountered His personal touch and were transformed by His great love which melts away all fears.... nothing can be compared to the moment where you and your Maker are one... Jesus is so so PRECIOUS and He has indeed come to give us life and life more abundantly..God is so Awesome and He is full of glory, power and majesty... that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord- the Risen King! Alleluia!

I set aside some time to seek Him as usual to start the year off .While waiting on the Lord, my Master bid me to come and said...

#I have promised that I will never leave you nor forsake you... the everlasting Lord of the Universe is mindful of His child... I will be with you unto the utmost end of the earth...do not fear for I hold your hands and order your steps... I watch over you and I AM faithful and will not allow the righteous to neither stumble nor fall.....

and during those precious moments....

#I saw the anointing of oil from the head to the toe, I saw honey ... dripping over and I saw a river full and flooded but such peace, ever flowing...

#I saw a great pillar of fire- fearsome, fiery, consuming-but everything that passes through is not burned, there's no smoke - and this fire was also on the palm of hands and these will be the ministers of fire, carrying His holy fire....

#I saw a change of garment- a different robe and a different scepter placed in the hands ( a golden baton)- on bended knees and bowed down to receive- a different level, a different arena He has bestowed...

#I saw from afar the cross of Calvary and I saw His back torn and ribbed by the lash of the whip but I saw the wound closed-up and healed in an instance- made whole and restored... the power of the Cross- by His stripes we are healed...

#I saw a sea of furnace- a lake of fire spreading, spreading - destruction and woes and I prayed Lord NO! then from the other end, a torrent of gushing water came and flooded over , the water white, crystal and sparkling like diamond under the sun engulfed and no more sea of fire, only the water remained- the victory is in His hand- call unto Him and He will answer and show us great and mighty things which we knoweth not...

One World, One Dream

Watching the Olympics Opening in cell, as it showed off the display of the splendour of the history of China- I felt proud of this heritage, being a Chinese- look at China and it's rich history and culture depicted and broad casted to over 4 billion viewers... as the scroll unfurled and the images and the scene changes before our eyes, I watched and took in every sight of display and capture the 2000 years of Chinese history - man and technology in unison and I remembered the commentator saying - .."after all the many comments and critics before the Opening, we now witness the biggest and most spectacular display of the rich heritage of China.." and the newspaper's headline the next day reads - " Great Wall of Fire"- the Opening night display lasted slightly more than 4 hours and cost over US100million... the works and efforts of many men working in unison , cash and technology, and the world witnessed a great display...
What impressed me is the near perfect choreography of all the movements and all the execution and display to the finest detail- how so many people were mobilised at the same time- yet there was such unity and effort put in to 'make the country proud'.....

Upon reflection, each of us also has a 2000 years history to tell the world- the sheer Magnificence and Greatness of God is to be broad casted - share abroad -to all the world- the One World, One Dream of our lives in Christ deserves more than all the effort put in at the Opening night- we have a more spectacular story to tell....
we are to unfurl, display and broad cast the Glory of the Creator of the Universe who has called us to bring the message of 'reconciliation of man back to God'.... we have a higher calling that does not end in one display but to be continuously depicted in our lives.... we are to be the "vessels of Fire", we are to beat the drums in unison, with all our hearts, our minds, our souls and all our strength to TELL HISTORY- His Story.... Jesus is the way, the truth and the Life.. we have a higher calling from above- Our heavenly Father deserves and commands all praise and worship high above all that we could ever offer - we are to GLORIFY HIM...

Looking at the life of Paul- he was 'displayed' at a trial and he told his story.... he told of his One World and One Dream too and he summarised his task and purpose for his life as....
(Acts 26:16-18 ,23 ,29)
# "I was Given the Task to Rescue the World" (26:16-18)
# " I believe and Declare that Jesus Christ is the One and Only Risen Saviour of the World" (26:23)
# " I Want Everyone To Believe What I Believe" (26:29)

In Rev 12:11 says .... and the saints overcome him (the evil one) by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of their testimony....

so being a child of the Living God, what is my dream about the world??? Is my dream in line with God's heart beat for the world??? What is the task that I am to accomplish???

Luke 8:39 ... return to your own house and TELL what great things God as done for you.... and he went his way and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus has done for him....

1 Peter 3:15 ...but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear...

Has God been faithful to me? Is He not the greatest thing that has ever happened in my life? Have I not tasted the goodness and the sweet honey in the Rock? I carry the greatest history in me- His Story- the story of Jesus Christ in me ....
Lord give me boldness and let me declare and proclaim Your Son Jesus to the world -

...in all that I say and every work that I do, I will give of my best back to Him because We are the Reason that You Gave Your Life...

and our prayer Lord is " Father make us one, Father make us one- that the world may know , Thou has sent Your Son, Father Make us One.....

Let us shine forth the light of the Torch of Life that has been ignited in us- be the light of the World....

Arise for this is the time and this is the hour for you to come forth and be the vessel to reach out to those whom He has given His life so that they may have life in Him... you are recruited in His great army.. play your part....

....when the brethren come and dwell in unity, we will command His blessings.....-His blessings to preach the gospel, to set the captives free, to make the blind to see....

A Christian Life is not a Funeral but A Feast

#You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over,
surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
and I dwell in the house of the Lord forever # ( Ps 23:5-6)

Often times, I hear this prayer , "God make me a 'better' person...." but upon reflection, I think it should be prayed , "Lord make me into a NEW Person!". Following Jesus means a new birth because He said .." unless you are born again..."- a new birth and a new way of life... also He said, that we are to shed off our 'old wineskin because the old wineskin cannot contain the new wine that is to be poured into it (Matt 9:16-17). We are to put off the old wineskin and put on the new wineskin so that the Lord can pour into us the new wine... are you eagerly anticipating and expecting this new wine..??

When we become Christians, we no more decide on our own thinking and our own feelings but our point of reference is now in the Bible... Jesus came not to 'patch' us but to TRANSFORM us into new lives in Christ.... this new life in Christ cannot be 'patched' on old tradition, old practices or religion etc. Jesus gives unto us a spiritual joy that becomes our strength, an inner peace that transcends all understanding and the very Presence of the Lord within us !!!... Hallelujah ! ..liken to having a feast with Him whenever we are found in His presence... what is it that has hindered us to 'feast' with the Lord as the table has already been prepared?? is it our time, is it our priority, is it our old thinking- what are we actually missing out here- time to ponder !!....

# when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them,
because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep having no shepherd...#
(Matt 9:36)

What am I doing to the sheep that are lost- am I leading them back to the Way, the Truth and the Life.. ?' ....am I involved or do I see them through the eyes of Jesus... is my heart moved with compassion ... do I pray when I see the burden ; am I also prepared to be the 'answer' that God will use me to reach out to them... someone reminded me that I am saved not just to do 'good works' but I am saved to be a 'servant of God!' ( I am called to do as Jesus does... I am called to be actively involved). When God calls, He calls us to serve Him - He said, "Go ye into the world and preach...." There is no such thing as 'secret discipleship'- we are to be the light and the salt of the world.... It may be costly to answer His call but it's most REWARDING when we obey....

Freely you have received, freely give.... (Matt 10:8)

The requirement is our co operation and faith in obedience....

Let us catch Jesus' PASSION, DESIRE and DRIVE'- let us be ignited and set ablaze for HIM...
( so what is it that we are willing to surrender eg the old wineskin to answer His call? are we willing to be transformed and touched by Jesus deep within so that others can notice the difference... what kind of personal experience are we receiving from Him with regards to our walk with Him this week? and what kind of response others have with regards to our walk....? do we make a difference for Him to those who cross our path)

Let's join in the Feast!! ..... Rejoice!! ...

# behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine and he with Me... #
( Rev 3:20)
